Room acoustics

Room acoustics concerns the design of a room in terms of sound reflecting and sound absorbing surfaces to optimize sound conditions.

  • Absorption surfaces
Verification of necessary sound absorption surfaces (ceiling sails, wall absorbers, carpeting, etc.) according to DIN 18041 and the corresponding building group
  • Reverberation times and simulation Reverberation time
Verification of the necessary reverberation times for group A uses according to DIN 18041.
For lecture halls, media halls, music rooms, lecture rooms, a simulation of the reverberation time is carried out additively.
  • Speech intelligibility
Simulation of speech intelligibility, e.g. for speech alerting, for dimensioning the ELA in a 3D model
  • Acoustic comfort
Design and evaluation e.g. in connection with certifications. See also Certifications
