Durch die Deutsche Bahn AG wurde auf dem Gelände im Bereich des Bahnhofs Sternschanze ein Bürogebäude errichtet. Durch die Grundstücksvorgabe ergab sich eine, entlang des verbleibenden Gleiskörpers angeordnete, schmale und längsorientierte Gebäudeform. Im Gebäude wurden Büroräume für das Eisenbahnbundesamt (EBA 55 Arbeitsplätze) und für das Bundeseisenbahnvermögen (BEV 72 Arbeitsplätze) einschließlich der jeweils notwendigen Funktions-, Neben- und Archivräume geschaffen.
